Crushed
Why can't I forget about you
So I can have my own life too,
Your memory haunts me constantly
Although all I want now is to be free,
It has been almost a year now
And I have to survive this pain somehow,
I have moments when I am happy and glad
Then worse ones when I am mad and sad,
No one knows the whole story
Of that you don't have to worry,
Because this story hurts me too deeply to tell anyone
Like how you took away my stars and my sun,
And left me crying like the rain
To survive this horrible pain,
Oh how happy I was when we were together again
But we had both committed too many a sin,
I'm not saying I want you back in my life
I couldn't handle all the stress and the strife,
All I am saying is I want you out of my dreams
So I don't wake up to any more tears and screams,
But I do want to thank you because now no one do I trust
Because never again will I be crushed.
