Heartbroken
Friends are supposed to be there when you need them
Not to watch you stand up only to shoot you down again,
When everyone needs a friend I am there
But about me no one seems to care,
All alone I sit and think
Why is everyone pushing me to the brink,
I look around everyone is gone
What have I done so wrong,
Is it them or is it me
Why is this one answer I can not see,
What do I do
I hate feeling sad and blue,
All I ever wanted to do is talk things out
But then all we do is scream and shout,
Why do you play this mind game
Do you have no shame,
Now I wonder are you really my friend
A true one who's friendship will never end,
I do everything I can to earn your respect
But all I ever get from you is neglect,
No more lies no more tears
We've cared for one another for years,
But you left me one last token
As you left me heartbroken.
