Sad Goodbyes
Lost in memories so true and so rare
You were there but I didn't even care,
Now you are gone to a better place
No more tear drops on your face,
I feel your smile shine down on me
A smile no one but me can see,
They took away the last piece I had of you
Reasons to which I haven't a clue,
Today I went to say good bye
Many a tear drops I did cry,
Till I remembered what you said when we talked
And at the time I just balked,
Remember me in my time on this earth
Remember me from my very birth,
But when I am gone
Please don't sing me a sad song,
I will leave when my purpose here is done
I will leave all the pain and the fun,
And hope I don't commit too many a crime
Because we all have to go sometime,
For when I am in my place in the skies
Let no one have any sad goodbyes,
And this promise I give to you
Cam I will make your wish come true.
