The Other Side
The stars shine brighter for me now
For this to happen I know how,
You've shown me a whole new love
And helped me to heal like the broken wing of a dove,
I now look to a whole new day
Always when you look at me in that special way,
But my past still haunts me
To run away I just can't see,
So I will stand up to it
If I don't make through our love don't forget,
Because to look through the rain
I see nothing but pain,
Then there is you on the other side
Bringing to my face a smile I just can't hide,
Holding out your hand to help me through
Making everything look brand new,
Putting me in a whole new circle of light
Helping me to make it through the night,
Showing me the happiness of life
Taking away all my stress and strife,
Letting me know friendship can heal all
No matter how bad your fall,
Because there is always a light up ahead
I now go towards my light instead,
This light to me you have given
Towards my goals I am now more driven,
Now I hope to have at least your friendship forever
To lose that I hope I never.
