Angel in Disguise
As I was walking in the moonlight last night
I met someone to like I thought to like I might,
He turned to me and gave me a smile
As we walked on the sand for a while,
Talking of future past and present
Wondering if he was heaven sent,
The chill started in
As I snuggled against him,
Not wanting to part
Not even for the beat of a heart,
Then he said he had to go
And I cried out no,
But the lord wanted him back in the skies
My angel in disguise.
